10 New Must-Try Restaurants in Youngstown

Since March, the pandemic has left many cities scrambling to recover from the mess left in its wake. However, Mahoning County’s restaurant and bar scene has emerged stronger than ever – with ten new dining spaces opening up! Check out what they’re serving below.

Just last month, a Mahoning Valley staple, Johnny’s Fine Food and Spirits, closed – then reopened as its casual counterpart, Beef and Keg. Located in the Boardman Center shopping plaza (west of Southern Park Mall), Beef and Keg features classic pub food and drinks, and a new outdoor patio. Visit Beef and Keg’s website for hours and daily specials.

Tebo’s Caribbean Cuisine

In Youngstown, we have plenty of pizza, ice cream and Italian, but no Caribbean cuisine – until now. Two brothers born in Jamaica opened Tebo’s Caribbean Cuisine just last month in Boardman with a menu full of Caribbean-style dishes like cabbage and rice and red beans. The reviews? Fantastic so far! Visitors can make reservations online for the restaurant’s indoor seating, safely separated by plexiglass dividers, or their socially distanced outdoor seating.
