Butter Maid Bakery
A Youngstown staple since 1955, Butter Maid Bakery specializes in numerous old-world style cookie varieties and is renowned for their kolachi (which they make in over a dozen flavors)!
They have two locations, conveniently located in Austintown and Boardman. Plus, you can easily shop their entire selection online. If you’re ordering around the holidays, be sure to make your selections early – their treats sell out quickly!

The Amish Market
The Amish Market originally opened in 2013 as The Valley Marketplace, and in 2017, it became fully Amish-owned and -operated. The market has over fifteen vendors offering meat, dairy, produce, and of course, baked goods!
You can find handmade fry pies loaded with fruit filling, or try a donut from Aunt Martha’s Donut & Coffee Shoppe. Products vary from vendor to vendor, so make sure you ask if you’re hoping to find items that are gluten-free or organic.

Bake Me Treats
If you’re looking for a pastry shop with delicious sweets in a variety of flavors, Bake Me Treats is your destination. This small bakery has an enormous selection of unique delicacies: authentic macarons, brownies, cupcakes, cookies, oatmeal cream pies and Loaves of Love (phyllo wrapped sweets filled with soft honey caramel and pecans).

What started in 1970 as a family-run neighborhood bakery (known for their pita and flatbread) has grown exponentially and is now a Valley-wide household name. Maggie’s Magic Muffins
Maggie’s Magic Muffins are exactly as the name suggests – magical! Pop in for a visit to find muffins in dozens of flavors, like blueberry cheesecake, cinnamon streusel and peanut butter with chocolate fudge icing. (There are also special seasonal flavors to try throughout the year!)

With their new location in Austintown, the Valley’s popular Abigail’s Bakery Creations decided to partner with Canfield’s JR Grinders and Marlowe’s Premium Coffee to expand into a bakery, breakfast, lunch and coffee shop!
If you’re a baklava lover, Abigail’s Bakery Creations is a must-visit Valley business. Named after the owner’s daughter, Abigail’s is known for its made-from-scratch specialties: cakes, pies and signature desserts (muffins, spanakopita, baklava…the list goes on and on).
