This Summer’s Live Music Schedule at The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre

After a year-long hiatus, live music has returned to downtown Youngstown, and The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre is proud to announce its upcoming events for the summer of 2021.

The venue, which is located near the Covelli Centre, has the capacity to host 4800 guests. The Amp, as it’s often referred to, draws crowds not just from Austintown, Canfield, Boardman, and the Youngstown area but also music lovers from Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Here’s the rundown on 2021’s upcoming events, specifically featuring musical entertainment.

STYX, with Special Guests Donne Iris and the Cruisers

Thursday, July 29

On July 29 at 7:30 P.M., be ready to rock! STYX will be in Youngstown, along with special guests Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. STYX has over 40 years’ worth of chart-topping hits with a wide range of stylistic cornerstones.

Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $75.

 

The Vindys

Saturday, July 31

Next up, Youngstown-based group The Vindys will bring their eclectic mix of pop, jazz, and rock to the stage on July 31 at 7:30 P.M. See why they’ve become one of the hottest acts in northeast Ohio! This event is part of the Premier Bank Community Event Series.

Loud 102.3 Presents “330 Show Live”

Saturday, August 7

Youngstown’s only local hip-hop station presents “330 Show Live” on August 7 at 7:30 P.M. with music by Youngstown’s own Chief P, Crazy Chris, The Roses featuring Mxnsta, Murdah 1, and Moodzie. This event is part of the Premier Bank Community Event Series.

Ticket prices range from $5 to $10.

 

Nelly – In Concert

Sunday, August 8

See hip-hop sensation Nelly – live in concert on August 8 at 7:30 P.M. Sing along as Nelly brings his unique southern flow to Youngstown, lighting up the stage with his electrifying performance.

Counting Crows – In Concert

Tuesday, August 10 – EVENT POSTPONED

Grammy and Oscar Award nominated 90’s rock group Counting Crows will land in Youngstown on August 10 at 7:00 P.M. as part of their Butter Miracle Tour 2021. The Counting Crows have been enchanting listeners worldwide for more than two decades with their soulful take on rock and roll.

The I Love the 90’s Tour

Saturday, August 14

Show your love for the 1990s when the I Love the 90’s Tour arrives in Youngstown! On August 14 at 8:30, you can sing along with beloved musical acts from the 90s like Vanilla Ice, All-4-One, C+C Music Factory featuring Freedom Williams, and Rob Base.

Train, with Special Guest Vertical Horizon

Wednesday, August 25

Train will roll into Youngstown on August 25 at 8:00 P.M. with special guest Vertical Horizon. Train is known for its 14 songs on the Billboard’s Top 100 and is a multi-Grammy-winning artist.

Little Big Town, with Special Guest Hailey Whitters

Here’s one for the country music fans! Little Big Town comes to Youngstown, with special guest Hailey Whitters on August 27 at 7:30 P.M. Sing along with some of their biggest hits, “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” and “Good As Gone.”

All-Star Legends of Hip Hop

Saturday, September 18

Youngstown again hosts some heavy hitters of hip-hop when the All-Star Legends of Hip-Hip Tour arrives on September 18 at 7:00 P.M. Artists include Juvenile, Mystikal, Scarface, Twista, and Trina.

Ticket prices range from $58 to $102.

 

Brett Young, with Special Guests Ryan Hurd and Filmore

Thursday, September 23

Up-and-coming country pop star Brett Young will arrive on September 23 at 8:00 P.M. with special guests Ryan Hurd and Filmore to round out the night. Young is a multi-platinum selling artist and his The Weekends Tour will surely consist of big hits like “Lady,” “In Case You Didn’t Know,” and “Mercy.”

Alice Cooper, with Special Guest Ace Frehley

Monday, September 27

Youngstown will host two legendary men of rock on September 27 at 7:30 P.M. Alice Cooper, the original shock rocker himself, and, if that wasn’t enough, he brings a special guest, KISS guitarist Ace Frehley!

Foreigner Orchestral

Tuesday, October 12

Summer might be over, but there’s still more live music in Youngstown! Classic rock band Foreigner arrives on October 12 at 7:30 P.M, and they’re bringing a full orchestra with them for a once-in-a-lifetime rock and roll experience!

Tickets are easy to purchase, simply visit The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre’s site! Find the music event you’re interested in (listed in order by closest event date), click on the concert of interest, and then hit the “Get Tickets” button.

 

Venue Info for The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre

Visitors should keep in mind that even though The Amp is an outdoor venue, umbrellas are not permitted. Rain ponchos can be brought in or purchased on site. Lawn chairs, unless otherwise prohibited, must have a seat no higher than 16” off of the ground.

 

Additional items that are NOT PERMITTED include the following:

  • Laser pointers, air horns, or noisemakers.
  • Weapons of any type or other items deemed dangerous by security.
  • Large bags, backpacks, or sealed containers (including gifts for entertainers)
  • Bottles, cans, flasks, thermoses or coolers.
  • Outside food or beverages (Exceptions will be made for small children’s snacks in clear plastic baggies or unopened juice pouches. 1 per child. No juice boxes.)
  • Video recorders, audio recorders or similar electronic devices, including iPads and tablets.
  • Professional cameras.
